Abstract
A 67 year-old woman visited our hospital complaining of pollakisuria. She had undergone left nephrectomy and augmentation ileocystoplasty for tuberculous bladder atrophy 40 years previously. She underwent a total cystectomy and tubeless ureterocutaneostomy with a preoperative diagnosis of muscle-invading transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. The pathological diagnosis was adenocarcinoma of the ileal segment and transitional cell carcinoma of the original bladder. This is the first case report of adenocarcinoma of the ileal segment and transitional cell carcinoma of the original bladder among 22 patients suffering from bladder cancer after ileocystoplasty.Entities:
