Abstract
Endocytosis of ligand-activated receptors has generally been considered a mechanism to attenuate signaling. There is now a growing body of evidence suggesting that this process is much more sophisticated and that endocytic membrane trafficking regulates both the intensity of signaling and the co-localization of activated receptors with downstream signaling molecules.Mesh:
