Color Doppler sonography of uterine arteriovenous malformation.

Arteriovenous malformation of the uterus is a rare but potentially life-threatening lesion. We report a case of arteriovenous malformation of the uterus in a 19-year-old nulliparous woman. The diagnosis was made with color Doppler sonography and was confirmed histologically. Color Doppler sonography helps differentiate uterine arteriovenous malformation from other entities that have a similar appearance on gray-scale sonograms. Copyright 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
