Abstract
Mycoplasmas typically have a number of distinct lipoproteins anchored on the outer face of the plasma membrane. These surface antigens have a potent modulin activity and are preferential targets of the host immune response. However, the variation of some of these lipoproteins provides mycoplasmas with an effective means of evading the host immune defence system.Entities:
