The cell cycle and development: redundant roles of cell cycle regulators.

P Zhang1.

Abstract

The existence of families of cell cycle regulators reflects the need by a developing organism to precisely control proliferation of its cells and also suggests that family members may play redundant roles. Recent advances have shown redundancy to be a theme in development.
