Abstract
A survey of 400 patients discharged from medical wards found that 161 (40%) had risk factors for severe pneumococcal infection, but that only half of these had received pneumococcal vaccine. Improved vaccine uptake in high risk patients could be achieved by universal vaccination of people aged over 65 years.Entities:
