Abstract
Intussusception is the invagination of one portion of the intestine into another and is the most common form of intestinal obstruction in infants. This report reviews the clinical presentation and diagnostic and treatment options available for intussusception. The etiologies of childhood intussusception are discussed. Details and literature review are provided on the advantages and disadvantages of ultrasonography, barium enema, air contrast enema, and surgery in the diagnosis and treatment of intussusception.Entities:
