Abstract

Is it possible to substantiate changes after terminated orthodontic treatment by annual follow-up examinations? A longitudinal study over five years. 42 patients with duly terminated orthodontic treatment were re-examined at intervals of one year during a period of five years. Relevant changes could be substantiated and discussed with regard to their importance in prognostic assessment.
