Abstract
Lipids play an extraordinary range of roles in normal and deranged metabolism. In diabetes and obesity, lipids have often been seen just as impacting on the energy balance equation. New data are extending our understanding of how lipid subclasses influence carbohydrate and lipid metabolism at multiple control points: from the modulation of membrane proteins to the regulation of gene transcription.Entities:
