Abstract
In five test persons the exact joint movements of the lower jaw in the area of the lateral teeth were tested with regard to precision of the movements and technical possiblities of balancing articulation. The result of these measurements show that there is extreme precision of the joint movements in a non-loaded lower jaw. With a uniformly bended compensation curve the joint movements can be compensated in sagittal direction only, and not in transversal direction. On the basis of these findings a method for the direct formation of the sagittal compensation curve is discussed.Entities:
