Abstract
Ureteral substitution with vermiform appendix has been reported rarely. Herein is reported a case of a traumatic ureteropelvic disruption with a 7-cm long ureteral defect that was bridged successfully by appendix interposition for the first time in a child. The potential use of vermiform appendix to repair long ureteral defects provides an additional argument against incidental appendectomy.Entities:
