Abstract
This article discusses the various origins of gastrointestinal obstruction in the newborn infant in a progressive fashion, from the gastric outlet to the colon. The various entities are considered within the paradigm of high or low obstruction, with particular emphasis on the contribution of the radiologist in diagnosis and non-surgical treatment, outlining the role of plain films, sonography, and contrast studies.Entities:
