Abstract
Newborn rat calvaria and isolated calvaria cells are capable of de novo lipid synthesis when grown in the presence or absence of exogenous lipid sources. Synthesis decreases when exogenous lipids are supplied. Several cholesterol precursors were found in these tissues and the presence of dihydrocholesterol was established for the first time.Entities:
