Dispersion of PAH and heavy metals along motorways in The Netherlands--an overview

In the past years the Road and Hydraulic Engineering Division (DWW) of the Dutch Directorate-General of Public Works and Water Management has supervised research after the pollution of the vicinity of motorways in the Netherlands with micropollutants such as heavy metals and PAH. The results of these and additional studies have been summarized and further analyzed, so that we would be able to design optimal measures and devices to reduce pollution.
