Abstract
This article explores the concept of multiculturalism and the relationship between the midwife and clients from non-English speaking backgrounds. There is evidence to suggest that cultural biases and stereotyping inhibits equity in care provision. To transcend these cultural barriers, there are important implications for health administrators, educators and health professionals to consider when caring for a multicultural clientele.Mesh:
