Pathology of pediatric brain tumors.

L E Becker1.

Abstract

In characterizing the pathology of brain tumors, diagnostic and prognostic immunohistochemical and molecular advances are indicated. Brain tumors are described from the perspective of pathologic type consistent with the standard World Health Organization classification as well as by neuroanatomical location with relevant differential diagnosis. Brain tumors associated with genetic syndromes are discussed.
