Heart failure: the electrophysiologic connection.

Abstract

Heart failure often is complicated by lethal arrhythmias. This article presents an overview of current thinking about the mechanisms of sudden death in heart failure, with an emphasis on the hypothesis that cardiomyopathy is an acquired form of the long QT syndrome.
