Abstract
Laparoscopic access can be obtained quickly and without complication by placing a radially dilating trocar sleeve into the peritoneum through a 3-mm umbilical incision and dilating to 5 or 10 mm. This provides a tight seal without purse-string sutures. This is our preferred method of open laparoscopic access.Mesh:
