Abstract
The chiral monodentate phosphane ligand (R)-MOP facilitated the first enantioselective nucleophilic 1,2-addition of an "unmasked" acyl anion to a carbonyl group in the Pd(II)-catalyzed reaction of alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones with acylzirconocene chlorides [Eq.
