A holistic approach in facilitating adherence in people with diabetes.

The issue of adherence is a multidimensional one, with a complex set of factors that affect the behaviour of people with chronic illness. This article draws on some of the results of a recent study which explored the psychosocial factors affecting adherence to self-care behaviours in people with diabetes mellitus (DM).
