Abstract
RecQ helicases and topoisomerase III are both required for genome stability, particularly to prevent 'promiscuous' genetic recombination. A recent study demonstrates that, together, these enzymes can catalyse the interlinking of plasmid DNA, and suggests a novel mechanism for the control of recombination.Mesh:
