Abstract
Major advances have recently been accomplished in understanding the biochemistry of interactions between lipid antigens and CD1. The diversity of lipid antigens loaded onto CD1 molecules in normal cells, the ligand requirements for CD1 recognition by autoreactive T cells, including NK T cells, and the significance of CD1-mediated autoreactivity, as opposed to pathogen reactivity, remain controversial issues.Entities:
