Abstract
This article reports on the prevalence of disabling conditions among children and youth in the African-American subpopulation. The health status of the African-American population as a whole is discussed as well as the disabling conditions among African-American children and youth specifically. The unique social, economic, and health conditions relative to African-American children and youth are highlighted. Recommendations for future research, policy, and practice are made to alleviate problems surrounding African-American children and their families.Entities:
