Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Abstract

Inflammatory disease comprises at least two forms of chronic intestinal inflammation: Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This article reviews the epidemiology, cause and pathogenesis, clinical presentation and course, potential complications, and treatment of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
