Abstract
A case of pseudovascular squamous cell carcinoma in the uterine cervix of a 64-year-old woman was examined. Histologically, the lesion consisted of atypical, large, non-keratinizing squamous cells that exhibited not only acantholytic changes but also pseudovascular changes. Immunohistochemically, these tumor cells were positive for cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen and carcinoembryonic antigen, but none of them were positive for Factor VIII-related antigen or CD34. To our knowledge, pseudovascular carcinoma of the uterine cervix has not been described in the literature. Pathologists should be aware of this unusual form of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, particularly in the differential diagnosis of angiosarcoma.Entities:
