Potential for guided bone regeneration and bone graft fixation with resorbable membranes in pediatric craniofacial surgery.

B L Eppley1.

Abstract

Resorbable devices offer a significant technological advance for craniofacial surgery; however, the potential for their use may extend beyond that of bone fixation. Applications to assist bone regeneration and to secure bone grafts in cranial defects in the pediatric patient are presented.
