Abstract

Psammocarcinoma is a rare epithelial neoplasm of the ovary and peritoneum. The reported management of patients with this tumor includes radical surgery and chemotherapy. We report the case of a young woman with metastatic psammocarcinoma treated with conservative surgery who is alive 6.5 years following positive second-look laparotomy. Copyright 1999 Academic Press.
