Intradural lumbar disc hernia. Report of two cases.

Penetration of disc tissue inside the dural sac in the lumbar region ("intradural disc hernia") is a rare occurrence. Two cases are described which presented as multi-root syndromes of the cauda equina. Some clinical aspects are discussed together with the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of this rare type of disc hernia.
