Effectively and efficiently influencing input and length of stay via a triage unit concept in a public psychiatric center.

G A Roets.

Abstract

New approaches are born from need, on the building blocks of prior information and experience. To become successful, they must be nourished in an environment that is hospitable and supportive. This article describes how a new approach to providing services from a public psychiatric center over came initial barriers and proved to be effective and efficient in reaching its goals.
