Abstract
A cross-national survey of forty-two countries and provinces was undertaken to compare mental health policies, mental health services, awareness of these services, the evaluation of such services and how mental health care is financed. Notable differences were found between respondents and these differences could not always be accounted for in terms of the level of the countries economic development. Discussions of trends are detailed and suggestions for future inquiry are proffered.Mesh:
