Abstract
Four lectures on solving medical reference requests were given over a talkback telephone teleconference network which links 110 hospitals throughout the state. Participants in the course were librarians in nonurban public libraries, systems libraries, and small hospital libraries. Professional librarians as well as library personnel with little training took the course. Techniques were developed for providing continuing education over this telephone network to individuals located in remote areas. These techniques are described including analysis of their advantages and disadvantages.Entities:
