Abstract
Great Britain has been in the forefront in the development of programs for meeting the psychological needs of the hospitalized young child. A visit to four medical hospitals in England, hospitals selected for their advanced adolescent programs, revealed that advances for older youth have not kept pace with those for younger. Social, economic, and psychodynamic reasons for their slower growth are discussed an implications for future development drawn.Entities:
