Acetic acid pretreatment of initiated epidermis inhibits tumour promotion by a phorbol ester.

Abstract

Mouse skin initiated with 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene and then exposed to multiple treatments of acetic acid, shows a decreased papilloma yield on subsequent promotion with croton oil.
