Overcoming electronic records hurdles.

B Siwicki.

Abstract

A growing number of health care providers are investing in information systems necessary to create complete computer-based patient records. But even though the outlook for industrywide acceptance of the technology is looking up, obstacles still stand in the way. For the industry to more widely embrace electronic records, these hurdles, such as easing data entry for doctors and securing funding, must be surmounted.
