Abstract
Thresholds for nine food odors were found for two groups of subjects, young and elderly. Dravniek's dynamic triangle olfactometer, which employs the forced-choice, triangle principle and controls for guessing was used. Elderly subjects were found to have a considerably reduced sensitivity to these odors compared with young subjects.Mesh:
