Abstract
In today's environment, health care organizations are expected to provide the best possible care at the lowest possible cost. Neither aspect can be considered independently, but correlating the two with traditional systems of cost analysis is very difficult. This article presents a new method for linking costs to the process of care that also promises to be a powerful tool for clinical improvement and redesign.Mesh:
