Abstract
Ninety one cases of Yersiniosis occurred betwen 1955 and 1974 at Bristol Zoo. Species affected included a range of primates and birds, a rodent (Capybara) and a carnivore (Caracal Lynx). The incidence of the disease was highest in the winter months. There were variations in the annual incidence of Yersiniosis, with peaks occurring at intervals of 4-6 years. Common pathological findings included miliary focal necrosis and abscess formation.Entities:
