J O'Grady1.

Abstract

This paper describes the number of admissions, the referring source and the length of stay in the Leeds Special Care Unit over a three-year period July 1984-1987. For two of those years, details are given of admissions to the Regional Secure Unit from the two districts served by the Special Care Unit and from the Yorkshire Region. Finally, the relative contribution of the local Regional Unit to the overall provision of services to disturbed patients is described and contrasted.
