Abstract
Generation and reception mechanisms of electrostatic and alternating, currents by bees are studied. It is shown that generation of electric fields is concerned with the properties of body integuments to carry a comparative large electrostatic charge. Transport of charged bodies is percieted by bees with the help of antennae subjected to the action of coulon powers. Perception of a alternating artificially generated electric fields is mainly concerned with physiological influence of induced currents flowing in the site of contact of bees to one another or to current-conducting bodies. The studies performed did not show the existence of specialized organs for the generation and perception of electric fields.Entities:
