Abstract
A common procedure for the preparation of Novo and Carlsberg thiolsubtilisins is described which, particularly in the case of the Novo enzyme, involves modification of previous procedures so that preparations of higher yield and purity can be obtained. The serine enzyme and the protein degradation products, which are still present in the improved preparations and may interfere with some kinetic measurements, are removed by purification on an agarose-mercurial column.Entities:
