Abstract
A left ventricular thrombus can occur in a variety of clinical settings and, when small, may be difficult to document. Understanding the clinical scenarios of when these thrombi form and how to optimise echocardiographic scanning techniques will increase the sensitivity and specificity of the examination (tables 1 and 2).Entities:
