Abstract
Pruritus is the most common of all dermatological complaints. Although pruritus is usually due to a primary skin disease, it may be a manifestation of a systemic illness. The majority of causes can be diagnosed from the history and physical examination. Laboratory investigations are usually not necessary. Treatment should be directed at the underlying cause whenever possible.Entities:
