Abstract
Percutaneous cardiopulmonary support was used in 9 patients with fulminant myocarditis and cardiogenic shock. Although 2 of the patients died, 7 improved and were able to resume social activities. Percutaneous cardiopulmonary support should be administered routinely to patients with fulminant myocarditis developing into cardiogenic shock.Entities:
