Abstract
Ultrasonography has progressively become an easily available non expensive imaging modality for the study of the small intestine. It has no secondary effects and is comforting for the abdominal radiologist. Further, as ultrasonography does not require special preparation nor contrast administration in the intestine or vascular system, no delay is caused if other imaging modalities (such as CT or angiography) have to be performed. This report covers the most common pathologic conditions in the small bowel and does not consider enteroliths, foreign bodies nor mucoviscidosis.Entities:
